One step up for Gabe...

I love this picture.

Shihan Scott worked them hard that night!

Just after receiving his yellow belt.

Little H is 2 years old, and tested that night as well.

Excitement.  A sense of accomplishment.

Gabe has been taking Shudokan karate for a couple of months now.
Just under two weeks ago, he had his first test.

He was sooo very excited after he got his yellow belt, and afterward to celebrate,
we went out for Asian food (I think we'll start a tradition with this one).

Dumplings.  He wanted extra dumplings.

Whoohoo! Congratualtions! That is an awesome accomplishment :o) Our son also did martial arts and has his black belt. Both my hubby and son are UFC fans and our son has asked if I would ever watch him if he were to train for a mixed martial arts fight...um...no, it was hard seeing him compete in martial arts competitions and high school wrestling meets!

I think the tradition of eating Asian food after is a great way to celebrate :o) And great job to Little H too on her testing!

I'm running way behind in stopping by to say thank you for linking up with Mil Spouse Weekly roundup! My hubby and I went out of town, so didnt get to do all my visits...

Please do come back any time... and in fact, do come back and leave a comment, if you hadnt on that post, for a chance at one of the flags drawn with the name of your choice. For linking up, you are entered for a chance, but for commenting it would give you another chance.

Blessings & Aloha!

Hey, J! Congratulations to Gabe for his great accomplishment! He looks very happy. My kids are excited about getting their yellow belts in June, too.

Asian food is good celebration food. Dumplings are delicious!
