Need some decorating advice, please.
I'm trying to put some finishing touches on Sarah's room. This past weekend, we bought the window sheers at Ikea. You can't see it very well, but there is some green in the sheer (green flower stems and edge trim). My question is, should I dress the window up more? Possibly by putting some fake Ivy plant near the top of the curtain or in the dome of the window? A pretty bow?
As for the rest of the room, I have an armoire in the left hand corner with a cute pink and green lamp on top and I am in the process of changing the matte of a Peter Pan in Flight poster that will hang above her crib (I'm thinking that I'll do a mint green with yellow).
I guess I should've added more pictures of the room to give you more to go on...but for now, do you have any suggestions? Please pass them along.
PS. The white cat next to the teddy bear is Gabe's latest purchase for her....that kid seriously cannot wait to be a big brother!

Decorating is not my thing, so I can't help ya there but I wanted to say good luck and that it already looks cute! That's awesome that Gabe wants to be a big brother so badly..haha so does Kiara, again. It's sooo not happening lol!
Oooo, I think a bow would be pretty. I am also trying to figure out how to block out that half-moon window in Grace's room because there is just too much sunlight. I love your idea! I will continue to think about it...
I too, don't have much to offer in the way of decorating advice. But if you (and Jennifer) are looking for a way to block out more light then I highly recommend the do-it-yourself window tint you can buy at Lowe's. It made a world of difference in Zane's room.
From what I've seen of Sarah's room, it's already beautiful.
I like the bow idea. That being said, I'm not a decorating person, so maybe if I say a bow, you should go with something else!
hi! i just got your message on my blog! I can't believe she was on the radio too! thanks for listening :) Well, I am not the most creative person in the world BUT here is what I think.... when my daughter was born i too had sheers in her room. it was letting in too much light so i did 2 different colors of sheers. you could possibly put a light pink/green under the flower ones. believe me it doesnt sound like it but it really does make a difference! as for the top, i love the ivy idea.... or the bow too :) i'm parial to bows since I do make them! or you could also check out you local hobby lobby or craft stores. you can find garland with that type of flower on it so it would match!! with the bow, you could have a really nice big bow made and then leave the edges go so they drape over the tops sort of how the ivy would. i did that in my hallway with some pictures and it worked out great!!! and on the other hand, the tint is always a great option. even if it isn't dark. you can buy different shades! hope this helps!
p.s. i just thought of it.... a swag for the half moon window. just another idea
